About Us
“Bharat Ratna Dr B.R. Ambedkar Legal Research Centre” was established by Siddharth College of Law under the guidance and vision of the then Principal Dr Arunachalam Chettiar. The innovative dream of establishing the research foundation emerged into reality on 6th March 2010. The Centre had been inaugurated by the luminaries of the legal field, Hon’ble Chief Justice Dr Dhananjay Chandrachud (Judge, Supreme Court of India) and Hon’ble Justice Shri. Abhay S. Oka (Judge, Supreme Court of India).
The centre was revitalized in 2021 by Ms V. Mangala and Mr. Eshan Borikar under the guidance of Ms. Sandhya Dokhe (I/C Principal of Siddharth College of Law), Dr. Arunachalam Chettiar and Prof Ashana Mishra. The revitalization of the Research Centre has been initiated with the vision of taking the Research Centre to legendary heights.
The Centre would facilitate various research projects to bring the research level at par with international standards. Following the footsteps of our Father of Law, Dr B.R. Ambedkar of Law, who pursued social justice, the Research Centre would strive to undertake projects that are of socio-legal significance and conduct research to tackle the contemporary.

Our Vision
Bharat Ratna Dr B.R. Ambedkar Legal Research Centre (ALRC) has been established with the vision of promoting innovative and qualitative research that is productive to the Government, the Industry, the Profession, Academic Institutions and Society. Furthermore, the Research Centre shall undertake projects keeping human rights and humanitarian values in mind. The actions of the Research Centre are aligned with its objective of contributing to the empowerment of weaker sections of the society and promoting studies of socio-legal issues confronting backward sections of the community.
