SUBMISSIONS TO THE JOURNAL

The Bharat Ratna Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Legal Research Centre Journal of Law accepts submissions on a rolling basis.

CATEGORIES OF SUBMISSIONS

  • Research Papers/Articles: Author(s) may submit research papers/articles of 5000-7500 words. The paper/article must be the original research work of the author(s). The research conducted by the author must be comprehensive. It is advisable to submit work that revolves around a contemporary legal or socio-legal issue. The research paper/article must involve critical analysis and not merely be descriptive in nature.

  • Essays: Author(s) may submit short essays of 3000-5000 words. The paper/article must be the original research work of the author(s). The essays must consist of a detailed analysis of any contemporary legal or socio-legal issue or important/landmark legal issue.

  • Case/Legislative Analysis, Book/Article Reviews: Author(s) may submit a short analysis or review of case laws, legislations, books, or articles (contemporary or landmark that pertains to any recent critical issue) of 1500-2500 words. Author(s) shall take note that the piece written shall not be merely descriptive but shall be analytical in nature.

GUIDELINES FOR THE SUBMISSION

  1. The author(s) shall submit an abstract of not less than 200 words and not more than 300 words, along with 5 keywords. The abstract shall be concise and precise to the manuscript submitted by the author(s).
  2. Co-authorship is permitted up to 2 authors.
  3. Submissions shall be in English language only. The journal does not accept submissions in languages other than English.
  4. All submissions must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration to be published by any other journal/forum. Any form of plagiarism will lead to the rejection of the manuscript. The maximum permissible plagiarism is 15%.
  5. All submissions are to be made in the MS Word format document.
  6. The author(s) shall submit a cover letter containing details of the author(s)’s Full name, Designation, semester & course (if a student), university/organization/freelancer (specify), contact number, and E-Mail ID.
  7. All submissions for the journal must be sent to Submission@drambedkarlegalresearchcentre.com
  8. Submissions should not contain any offensive, abusive, derogatory, or potentially defamatory content. The author shall be liable for the manuscript submitted and published if found to be offensive, abusive, derogatory, potentially defamatory, or plagiarized.

FORMAT

The Body of the manuscript shall be of the following format:

  1. Font: Times New Roman
  2. Heading Font Size-14
  3. Body Font Size: 12
  4. Line Spacing: 1.5
  5. Alignment: Justified

The Footnotes of the manuscript shall be of the following format:

  1. Font: Times New Roman
  2. Font Size: 10
  3. Line Spacing: Single

Citation Format: The author(s) shall provide due credit to the original work through citation. Author(s) shall insert citations as footnotes conforming to the referencing style of The Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citation (20th or 21st ed.).

PUBLICATION GUIDELINES

  1. The authors cannot withdraw the manuscript after submission and during the review process.
  2. The Editorial Board will review the submissions, and the decision of the editorial board will be final.
  3. The Editorial Board can recommend suggestions or make necessary changes as per requirement.
  4. All rights regarding the manuscripts will be reserved with Bharat Ratna Dr. BR. Ambedkar Legal Research Centre.
